Some first bits on the logistics

Let’s talk about this second round interview in some details

    • Were there any personal / CV-based questions? If yes, what were they?
      Tell me about yourself
What do you do in your free time
      3 words to describe yourself
Tell me more about ____ (CV Specific)

    • Were there any competencies questions? If yes, what were they?
Tell me about a time you failed
      Something you’re most proud of
Tell me about your best and worst team experience
Tell me about a time when your team had conflict, how did you resolve it
What was the most challenging thing you faced this year

    • Were there any technical questions? If yes, what were they?

    • Any other weird questions we haven’t covered?
Tell me something that’s not in your CV

    • What was the most difficult / unusual question among these? How did you deal with it?
Tell me something that’s not in your CV caught me off guard, but I think the intention of the question was to get to know more about you. At the end of the day, they want to choose someone that will work well with the team as well, so don’t be afraid to be yourself and don’t limit yourself to share things that might be “relevant” to the industry

    • What was the most unexpected thing about this second round interview ?
My interviewer was very casual and friendly

    • Did you progress to the next round?

    • How long roughly did it take for you to hear back about this outcome?
      2 days

    • Via what means did you hear back about this outcome?

  • Before you go, is there anything else you think will help other candidates ace this second round interview at Citi?
Not really – you’d do great!
