Bloomberg Spring Insight Week Application Cover Letter
Dear Graduate Recruitment Manager,
My name is [Redacted] and I am currently a first-year student at the University of […] I had the opportunity to learn about Bloomberg by doing one of its certifications, Bloomberg Market Concepts. Particularly was impressed by the importance of the firm in the industry, and its strong sense of collective identity. I am interested in pursuing a Spring Internship position at Bloomberg in order to increase my knowledge of its activities.
As you can see from my enclosed CV, I have previously completed internships in a Private Equity fund and a Corporate Affairs office: I worked on different tasks, from the evaluation of a fund of funds’ performances to the analysis and review of executives’ compensation. The in-depth level of analysis that each of these tasks required, helped me to improve my analytical skills and to better comprehend the decision-making processes. I also had the opportunity to work on various entrepreneurial projects, being an advisor for a high-tech start-up working with augmented reality, and becoming a business partner of an Italian football clubs, Parma Calcio, winner of two UEFA Cup, contributing to its “rebirth” after many financial problems.
Given my little background in the finance industry, the Spring Insight Internship would be a great opportunity to learn more and show my interest to Bloomberg. A copy of my CV is enclosed for your reference. I would welcome an opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you and learn more about Bloomberg at your earliest convenience.
Thank your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
