Re: The Global Data Training Program – Global Data- New Energy Finance Data Analyst- London Job

My name is [Redacted], a post-graduate student at the London School of Economics (LSE) majoring in Media and Communication with a minor in Financial Journalism and Business Communication. My interest in new clean energy market has motivated me to apply for the New Energy Finance Data Analyst as posted on Bloomberg Careers’ website on July 2nd 2015. I am very excited about the prospect of working at Bloomberg as a global data analyst for this position embraces my strong interests in creating industry-specific content with high level of accuracy and transparency to provide optimal and systematic experiences for Bloomberg’s customers.

I am actively looking for an opportunity to acquire knowledge and contribute to the inner workings of BNEF platform and Bloomberg Professional Services, and experience with the cycle of gathering and sharing content on the technology, financial activity and economic drivers across the clean energy sector for UK market. For me, choosing a career in new energy data means that I will be able to establish a solid foundation in identifying and monitoring energy assets, uncovering inefficient workflow and propose technological solutions to improve processes and the performance of portfolio assets.

I will be graduated from LSE with a master in Media and Communication in September 2015. Currently I am working as a market researcher at YouGov where I am responsible for helping to guide clients on their business decisions by giving them insight into their target market, their competitors’ business intelligence, existing products, marketing strategies and customers’ behaviour. One of the major projects I’ve successfully accomplished was to offer a syndicated market research offering intelligence on the viability of engaging with UK wellness food industry. I was in charge of mining and validating a large amount of data to provide insights into emerging trends, brand positioning and possibilities for product innovation, and delivered marketing strategies for price competitive products and services at comparable qualities. This duty required me to source and manage the data of 60 largest UK wellness food companies while having to maintain accuracy and a consistent attention to details in order to not spot information regarding food companies ripe for acquisition and takeover to enable the client grow their business through planned M&A transactions.

I possess strong communication, writing, and research skills. I was the winner of British Council’s 2008 Nation-wide Debate Championship and one of the 2011 finalists of English Speaking Board (ESB) where I provided formal speeches and debates about cultural and political topics related to the context of Vietnam and the UK. Competing in these highly regarded competitions has allowed to stretch and develop my verbal communication and achieve a good style of communication, voice and body language. I am also very strong at running analyses and conducting company case studies with detailed analyses and sensitivity to problems relating socio-economic factors. The combination of my academic achievements and active involvement in extracurricular activities proves that I am a highly driven and proactive individual. I am confident that my qualifications and skillset match what you are looking for in an aspiring employee; and I would be honoured to receive the opportunity to take part in Bloomberg Global Data Training Program and to demonstrate my capability to excel in a challenging environment.

I have attached my resume for your reference. Thank you very much for considering my application. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully
